Nationalism

Nationalism-the desire for national advancement or independence.

I am nationalistic because my 1st loyalty is not to my family nor the government but to my country. What makes me show that im nationalistic is that i want the best of my country,I want my country to be strong and to be respected by the world.Like the acient romans i want my country to be both loved and feared.Itlay Wasnt one country so it had mini states and some of these states were The kingdom of the two sicilies,Papal States venitia, lombardy, piedmont and savoy.

Nationalisam can be both unifying or disunifying. It helped itlay gain freedom.Italy became italy beacause of a guy named Giuseppe Garibaldi and the red shirts united the different parts of Italy.

On the other hand nationalism has torn apart countries.all we need to do is look at the examples of the Ottoman Empire,The Austro-Hungarian Empire,And the Russian Empire.

Simon Bolivar and Latin American Revolutions

On his way back to South America he stopped in the United States to study their system of government. Once home, Bolivar gathered up a revolutionary army and began his quest for revolution and independance. He lost some early battles to the Spanish, but eventually defeated them and won independence for Venezuela in 1821. Bolivar also helped Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Bolivia and Peru to their independence. The country of Bolivia in named after him. He is known as the liberator of South America.''It influenced him because first of all he came from spain. The spanish empire in south america fell apart. Also
